Veterinarian - Emergency & Critical Care (''ECC'')
No proper emergency centre can operate without an awesome team. You will be working with Critical Care Specialists and Nurses, as well as collaborating with other teams.
The position will involve conducting examinations, performing surgeries, administering medications and also provide guidance on health, nutrition and general care. Full-time hours will include day and night shifts, weekends and public holidays on a rotational roster. Shifts are mostly 12 hours, allowing more days off per week.
What Do You Have
• Possess a veterinary degree or qualifications registrable with the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA)
• Memberships in ECC and/or rotational internship would be a bonus
• Ability to perform upper GI scopes and some emergency surgeries an advantage
• Still get excited when you pull a rubber ducky out of the oesophagus, stomach or duodenum (basically ECC excites you)
• Strong work ethic and a team-player
• Compassion and willingness to put patient care first
• Brilliant client communication skills, both written and spoken
