About You

• Has at least 2 years of relevant experience

• Is committed to handling patients with care and compassion

• Demonstrates excellent communication skills when interacting with the team and with clients

• Has the ability to work well under pressure and possesses good time management skills

• Is adaptable and accepts challenges positively

• Additional qualifications with the AVTAA or equivalent would be desirable but not necessary

The Role​

• Assisting veterinary surgeons to induce, maintain, and monitor recovery of patients

• Assist veterinary surgeons before, during and after surgical procedures

• Monitor sedation and restrain patients for ultrasounds

• Inpatient care for critical and non-critical cases

• Place IV catheters

• Cleaning and stocking of anaesthetic supplies

• Cleaning and maintenance of anaesthetic equipment, oxygen cages, and heating devices

• Take radiographs as requested by the veterinarian

• Conduct laboratory procedures (e.g. collecting blood and urine specimens, running in-house lab tests etc.)

• Update clients on patient status in a professional and empathetic manner
